Neuroscience research shows that the only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learning to befriend what is going inside ourselves.

Meet Dr. Krystle Berkoski (she/her)
Hello and welcome! I’m humbled that you’re here. I’m a clinical psychologist from northeastern Pennsylvania, with more than 15 years experience in mental health treatment and licenses to provide psychological services in Pennsylvania and New York. My education and training as a generalist scholar-practitioner psychologist culminated in the degree of Doctor of Psychology or Psy.D. The scholar-practitioner model encourages my curiosity and insists I’m enabled to contribute to, fully understand, and successfully implement relevant research findings in my work, while providing excellence in compassionate, effective clinical services. Put another way, being a clinician is what I do best!
I’ve focused my career at the intersection of cultural humility, mindfulness, compassion, post-traumatic growth, telehealth, and clinician training and development. Becoming a Somatic Experiencing™ Provider (SEP) was a natural next step; it has deepened my understanding of trauma’s ongoing impact on the nervous system and enhanced my abilities to effectively support individuals to continue on their healing journey. My approach to treatment reflects this work and is considered integrative. According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH; 2021),
“Integrative medicine is health care that uses all appropriate therapeutic approaches — conventional and non-mainstream—within a framework that focuses on health, the therapeutic relationship, and the whole person.”
I’ve shared more about myself and the services I provide in the below menu. If you want to connect, leave me a confidential voice message at 570-212-9782 or submit a confidential contact form here and I’ll call you.

Knowing about my identities and values is likely important to you, especially as you explore the possibility of us working together. I’ve been gifted the treasures of support and grace as I’ve journeyed and reflected on my identities and their intersections with the world. I’m deeply aware of how the totality of my privileges, experiences, education, supports, and challenges has impacted my development as a person and a clinician. I’ve committed to practices of cultural humility, continued reflection and learning, and to daily actions that demonstrate social justice values and disrupt systemic -isms.
I identify as a white, cisgender, heterosexual woman with incredible privilege that protects me daily. I grew up poor in a rural farming community. I am a survivor of trauma and of suicide. I was a first generation college student. I am a wife, sister, daughter, friend, and fur mom to a dog and two cats. I am a gardener and nature enthusiast. I am a life-long student. I am an advocate with feminist, anti-racist, and body neutral motivations and practices.

I first provided clinical supervision in dedicated practicum. I continued exploring clinician training and development themes as part of my graduate research. I’ve had the honor of providing individual and group supervision with graduate students, social workers, counselors, and other psychologists, from beginner-level trainees to fully licensed professionals in academia, in corporate settings, and in private practice.
My approach to supervision is integrative and linked closely to my psychotherapy style. I prioritize our establishment of a secure professional relationship so that any difficulty with clients and countertransference can be explored openly and compassionately and guided effectively. A developmental framework informs this approach, ensuring you get the appropriate level of support and direction as you learn and grow.
For SE students: I am not approved to provide consultation credits towards the SEP credential.

Mend Well Integrative is a hybrid private practice, with therapy, supervision, and consultation services provided via telehealth on Zoom and in person in Clarks Summit, PA.
Telehealth provides flexibility and reduces the costs associated with therapy services and is typically as effective as in person therapy services. Though, teleheath is not for everyone. If you aren’t sure if telehealth is a good fit for you, give me a call or check out, What is Telehealth?, by the Dept of Health and Human Services (HHS).
